Rangers completed the sweep of Newmarket on Friday night to complete their season long quest for an OMHA Championship.
This team had one goal from the first day of training camp and they set their minds and hearts to it and accomplished what few teams do: WINNING AN OMHA CHAMPIONSHIP!!
The game was a complete effort as all 17 players contributed in playing their 68th game of the season on the same rink they played their first game against Burlington way back in August and the Rangers finished their quest tonight with a decisive victory over Newmarket.
All the hard hours of practice and dryland (100 practices and drylands combined) paid off as the team held the trophy high on the ice and celebrated for a long time after.
The coaching staff would like to say thank you to the team and the parents for making this year special.
Way to go Rangers you are the OMHA Champions of your level and age group which is an incredible accomplishment, but one the coaches new you could do from the first day we saw you skate as a team.
Go Rangers!!!
BTW, OUR RANGERS ARE THE FIRST OAKVILLE TEAM TO WIN THEIR OMHA TITLE IN 2010
